Weight-Inclusive Dietitians in Canada acknowledges that its members live, work, and play on the traditional homelands of a number of Indigenous peoples. Our headquarters are based on Treaty 7 Territory, which are the traditional homelands of the Niitsitapi/Blackfoot Confederacy (consisting of the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai, and Amskapi Pikani First Nations), the Tsuut'ina, and the Iyahe Nakoda (consisting of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). This area is also home to the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
