“C’est tellement vrai ce que ses femmes merveilleuses disent : à propos de la respectabilité (assure notre survie dans les milieux professionnels, et de santé 🙁 + joie est vraiment une façon de résister à toutes ces pressions qu’on vit en tant que femme noire dans cette société. Juste être vocale, dans un amphi ou un groupe, dérange les autres , mais la résistance est de keep going to show up !!!”

“Translation: It’s very true what these wonderful women [sic] are saying about respectability (assuring our survival in professional circles and in health) 🙁 + Joy is really a way of resisting all the pressures when one lives as a Black woman in our society. Just being vocal, whether in a lecture hall or in a group, disturbs/bothers others, but the resistance is to keep going, to show up!!!”
