Nourishing Cultural Identity and Healing Food Relationships in the Shadow of Colonization

Christyna Johnson, MS, RD, LDN will explore the impact of colonization on the food culture of the colonized and the relationship with food of the colonized. This webinar will teach dietitians how to explore and support clients who are repairing their relationship with food and working to explore their own cultural identities as it relates to nutrition and health.

By the end of the webinar, dietitians will be able to:

  • Recognize personal biases in client interactions, particularly when working with people of the global majority
  • Identify at least three ways that colonization changes the food landscape
  • List at least three ways colonization impacts conceptualizations of nutrition and health
