Watch Party – Radical Person-Centred Care

Watch Parties are a dedicated time where we can gather and watch one of the recordings from a past webinar together. There will be additional time at the end blocked off for discussion and peer support. Access to the Watch Parties will be available to all WIDIC members and anyone who has previously registered for the webinar, or purchased the recording. The Watch Parties will not be recorded.

For our January Watch Party, we are watching Radical Person-Centred Care presented by Wednesdae Reim Ifrach of Rainbow Recovery.

This presentation seeks to share the nuances of creating a radicalized, person-centred framework in working with patients and clients across the spectrum of human identities. As of late, “person-centred care” and “trauma-informed care” have become buzzwords for the general ethical standard of care, when the purpose of these concepts were to elevate our care to something more. Radical person-centred care needs to be more than just listening to our patients/clients; we need to address the inequities and inequitable access those people face and work alongside them as advocates to eradicate barriers and aid in creating lives worth living.
