Webinar: Understand to Stand
Healthcare settings can only be as inclusive as the people who are in them. When we don’t completely understand our own biases and beliefs, the risk is that our patients, colleagues and peers are potentially harmed from the system. Understand to Stand examines how to not be a bystander when witnessing oppression, discrimination, and bias. Anika Dhalla, RD approaches the topic by introspectively analyzing power, privilege, and the impacts of colonialism.
We will discuss:
- Building awareness of personal power and privilege, and its intersections.
- Providing some tools to use when standing behind each other, colleagues and patients.
- Real-life examples of colonial impacts
All registrants will receive access to the webinar recording, transcript, and resources.
