Eating Disorders in Black Communities with Sandrine Staco, DtP

Webinar: Eating Disorders in Black Communities

Eating disorders are mental illnesses that can be treated. However, to get the proper treatment, health professionals need to be able to recognize the presence of eating disorders in their patients. Anyone can be affected by an eating disorder, no matter the ethnicity. Unfortunately, Black people are less likely to be diagnosed and therefore to receive treatment.

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • Which eating disorders are more common amongst Black communities
  • How Black communities perceive eating disorders and weight
  • Why eating disorders are less likely to be diagnosed in Black communities

All registrants will receive access to the webinar recording, transcript, and resources.
