Webinar: Why Body Liberation is the First Step to Eating Disorder Recovery
This presentation will discuss why body liberation needs to be the foundation of eating disorder recovery rather than an afterthought. Respected Black and Queer mental health advocate, social activist, artist, content creator, podcaster, and business and body image coach Nia Patterson will examine how anti-fat bias and body image issues are inextricably linked to disordered eating and why they must be addressed right away for sustainable healing. Through discussion, Q&A, and a careful analysis of how diet culture harms people in recovery, Nia will make the case that body liberation is the essential first step on the road to freedom from eating disorders. Join us for an open and thoughtful conversation about building true peace with our bodies.
All registrants will receive access to the webinar recording, transcript, and any additional resources.
